ABOUT JEREMY SALAZAR

Assistant Kids Coach

Coach Jeremy was first introduced to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu through the Modern Army Combatives Program while he was enlisted in the U.S. Army. After his time in the military, Jeremy worked for various government agencies across the United States where he was exposed to the multiple benefits of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu not only for self-defense but for the additional physical and emotional benefits as well.

Coach Jeremy formally started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu April 2019 in California with his two sons. After moving to Central Texas, Coach Jeremy continued training with his kids and wife at John’s Gym Liberty Hill. 

Currently Coach Jeremy works for the Department of Homeland Security as a Law Enforcement Officer and is currently the agency’s Firearms, Active Shooter, and Defensive Tactics Instructor for the Austin, Texas area.

Coach Jeremy greatly enjoys coaching the other students along with his two sons.  Coach Jeremy can be seen with a smile on his face any time he is on the mats. 

Coach Jeremy is also a certified Gracie Survival Tactics Level 1 Instructor for law enforcement.
